There are lots of reasons why people go on holiday. Some people just love travelling hence they visit different places each year. Some people are looking for warm countries to enjoy some sunshine and get tanned. People from the UK generally go looking for some fun because we hardly have a sunny day in UK. But to be honest we had have lovely sunny weather past few days but the weather does not seem to go down. That’s why people look for luxury cruises or holidays to get out of here for better weather.

I come from a very hot country and have been based in the UK now for over 10 years. My aim is to get out of this country and visit warm countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and other parts of World. I take Royal Caribbean cruises atleast once a year and yes you are right I do indeed get paid pretty well. Caribbean island is definitely my favourite destination. Me and my partner got married there few years ago and we visit the place every year. So personal interested is another reason why people go on holidays.

Some people live in a different country and their family are based in another, so that is another reason for a holiday to visit your family. For example I have few families in Australia, Nepal and America. Sometimes I goto Australia, sometimes America and most of the time Nepal – I do miss my parents. I make an effort to visit my fmaily members once a year. Sometimes if I want some piece and quiet with my wife I go on cruising journey to Caribbean to spend time with her.

Another reason for a holiday is to take time off from heavy work schedule. Some people have stressful jobs, so they want to get away from that environment, which I think is a very good idea as sometime it can do your health some damage.

If you love sunshine, great music an electric atmosphere and lots of beer then get yourself along to one (or all) of our pick of the top festivals in Europe.

There are certainly plenty to choose from no matter what type of festival you’re after so if you’d like guaranteed sunshine at your music festival this year, pack your bags and head to Europe! You’ll probably save a few bob too especially in Eastern Europe which can offer a much cheaper alternative to some of their UK rivals with ticket prices sometimes being half the cost of what you’d pay at home.

DENMARK:  Roskilde – July 2-5

Rockslide has a great reputation which seems to grow bigger and better with every passing year, once again there’s a fantastic lineup helping them to retain their reputation as being one of the best European festivals.
The festival has been going for over thirty years and accommodates over 100,000 people. It’s held in the same place each year in the town of Rocklslde; where the festival took its name from.
This year’s lineup is a diverse mix of performers including crowd pleasers such as The Pet Shop Boys, Fleet Foxes, Coldplay, kanye West and Nine Inch Nails.

The Festival is on the outskirts of Copenhagen, camping is including in the festival ticket price and there’s entertainment in the camp too.
The cost of a ticket can vary from £104 to £272 depending on whether you’d like to be there for the warm up days and have a tent included.

SERBIA: Exit: Novi Sad – July 9-12
Exit festival was started back in 2000 in protest of Slobodan Milosevic’s regime and helped to bring on his downfall and still today it’s more popular than ever with revelers from all over Europe turning up for four day the party.

Located in an old fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second city, it comprises of over 20 stages strategically placed around a moat, with two main stages host rock, indie and dance music. Exit is a festival for night owls and begins at around 8pm at night and goes on until the morning around 8am, which means once you’ve caught up on your sleep you can venture around the town and do a bit of sightseeing.

To date the big names which have confirmed they will be performing are Royksop, Erol Aikan, Kraftwerk, Chemical Brothers, Arctic Monkeys, Moby and Sasha. A four day ticket is a reasonable £85 and camping is available along the Danube and cost £20 for four days so is also very reasonable.

SPAIN: Sonar & Primavera Sound, Barcelona – May 28-30 &  June 17-19
These two festivals have been grouped together since they’re held n the same venue, however they   are both very different and cater to very different audiences so try not to get one mixed with other! Situated just off the coast in Barcelona the Parc del Forum gives amazing views which all adds to the enjoyment of the event.

This year the The Primavera Sound festival will be taking place on 28-30th of May and so far the confirmed artists are Leftfield, The Charletans, The Pixies and Gary Newman.

Famous for electronic music, Sonar festival managers to attract the biggest names in dance music and because the festival is ongoing night and day it attracts big crowds which flock there from all over Europe each year.

Performing this year is Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, Plastikman and Dizzee Rascal plus you’ll get to see beautiful Barcelona as Sonar isn’t held in a festival type fenced in field.

So all that’s left is your transporation, once you’ve decide where you’re going be sure to book your flights as soon as possible to get a good deal, try this site for cheap holidays

It doesn’t have to be the case if you get a day with some not so great weather that you will not have anything to do just pick and choose your accommodation carefully and you will have a great holiday whatever the weather. Exploring holidays and active holidays are becoming ever more popular, and with many people taking to biking, walking and active sports they are demanding more from their holidays.

Nice Tourist Office have supported the idea, stating: ‘If a destination is offering itself as a place for a sunshine break, then there is probably no reason why someone should not pay up if it rains every day. The policy sounds like an excellent idea.’ And others in Britain have suggested that a similar scheme may be made available here – though I’m finding it very difficult to recall ever hearing of an advertised “Drizzle Break”!. you can be published without charge.
