How to know the difference between regular camping and luxury camping?

Luxury camping may well be taking a few of the luxury camping items along with you on a camping trip like a massive luxury camping tent, blow up chairs or even the porta-loo.  However luxury camping is actually a lot more than that.

Luxury camping is the new genre of camping also called “glamping” or “boutique camping”.  Glamping deriving from the words glamourous and camping.  So luxury is an important element here.

The luxury from the luxury camping perspective derives from many different aspects.  For starters you don’t need to bring your tent.  So no lugging around a tent and nor is there a need to pitch a tent.  Nor is there any need for you to bring along all your other camping garb.  No lugging around and packing the mattress, sleeping bag, gas cooker or any of it!

With a luxury camping holiday usually this is all provided on site.  You simply just need to arrive – all is ready and waiting for you.  Like wise the bed.  And actually the bed is not a camping bed.    Beds are of the comfortable normal variety, so you’ll be getting a good nights sleep.

Often however, with luxury camping, not only is the traditional tent used for accommodation.  The luxury camping genre is a lot more creative.  If tents are used they are usually of the big luxury variety.  But pitched in a slightly different way.  Some you will find pitched on a solid wooden floor perched high in a forrest.  While inside the luxury tent there would be the regular living surrounds for all you need.  Such as kitchen and bathroom.

Eclectic is often associated with luxury camping.  Yurts, tipis, tree houses, retro caravans are all now in the category of luxury camping.  So on your luxury camping trip you could end up in one of these.  Quite the step up from the traditional form of camping is luxury camping.

There is no reason to fear not being able to communicate with locals in Puerto Rico.  The island uses the U.S. dollar, so there are no confusing money exchanges.   U.S. citizens can enter Puerto Rico without a passport, which means travelers feel as though they’re visiting an international locale without the hassle.  You can even send postcards paying the usual U.S.P.S. rate!

Puerto Rico is 100 miles long and 35 miles wide, and is located in the center of the Antilles.   Both Hispanic and Angle culture influence Puerto Rican tradition.  Puerto Rico is not new to the U.S., having been a territory since 1898.

The Spanish came to Puerto Rico in 1493, and their great influence is still felt throughout the island.  The Spanish influence on the culture and architecture are hard to miss; just have a look at the churches, lighthouses, and roadways.    All bear the stamp of Spanish influence.   When they arrived on the island, the Spanish brought with them slaves; they ultimately had a great influence on the language, music, and cuisine.

Puerto Rico has a near-perfect climate, averaging a toasty 83 – 85 degrees Fahrenheit.   You read that right; it’s almost always summer!  There is no “bad” time to visit Puerto Rico.

Use your credit card and ATM card in Puerto Rico, where it’s as easy as shopping at home in the U.S.   You can easily bring your purchases back to the U.S. mainland, since there are no customs or duties.

When you’re traveling throughout Puerto Rico, you’ll find familiar transportation options.  Every major city has plenty of taxis, rental cars, buses, and “publicos” to help you get around.  San Juan has wonderful free Trolley Tours, and you can also choose to rent a bicycle.  If that isn’t enough for you, you can take chartered planes around the island.   Ferries are there to take you to Culebra or Vieques.

There are many wonderful reasons to travel to Puerto Rico.   The beautiful scenery and flawless beaches beckon people from everywhere.

There’s been records of a town in the area since Saxon times and it’s been known by it’s modern day name since the middle of the 17th century. While it’s not certain how it got it’s name it’s commonly thought that it was due to a nearby Roman settlement which had two forts in it, which gives us the Latin name of Bi-cester which literally means Two Forts.

Another place to visit is the world famous Waddeson Manor which is internationally known for it’s fine collection of decorative arts from the French 18th century. It was built by Baron Ferdinand 130 years ago just in order to entertain his friends. You’ll find magnificent furniture, exquisite portraitist and fine gardens at the manor which all point to why it’s such an attraction for tourists.
