If you’re vacationing in the Philippines, make certain you permit at least a couple of days for a remain at Boracay. Speaking from experience, this really is a stunning spot with white sand beaches and a lot of activities to stop boredom at bay.

The island is really a short flight from Manila, about 200 miles south of Manila. Flights are cheap and Boracay is well worth the price and your time.

The island is small, just a little much more than 10 square kilometers, dog-bone shaped and just northwest of Panay Island within the Western Visayas.  Even though the island is small, you will find more than 4 kilometers of seaside. The two primary beaches are White beach and Bulabog seaside. White seaside is about the western side from the island and Bulabog beach is on the eastern side.

Actions consist of snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing and kite boarding. There is a world-class golf course too! The windsurfing is excellent right here; actually, Boracay Island is really a venue about the Asian Windsurfing Tour. You are able to also hook-up with local tour guides for cave exploration and rides in native boats. Naturally, there is time to relax and sightsee too!

The spot is certainly a tourist destination with all the negatives implied therein. Even though I’m a bit jaded, I really had a great time there and left feeling that I had gotten my money’s worth. From me, that’s saying a whole lot!

There is ample lodging obtainable here in Boracay, such as many hotels, and lodges. If you want a vacation rental, they’re here as well.

After only a few minutes of searching the Web, I found a affordable holiday rental. I’m not suggesting this is the 1 for you, but I liked it for the following reasons.

First, I’m frugal, not cheap, FRUGAL! This listing describes a two-story villa within the native style. I like this simply because I want to really experience the Filipino lifestyle. For this specific property, only a two night minimum remain is required. The cost is $70.00 (USD) per night, roughly 3200 pesos. The home and property faces White beach and has all of the amenities. It sleeps three, has a full kitchen such as all the utensils, queen bed and twin bed with all linens, washer, air-conditioning, refrigerator, cable/satellite television, wireless web, deck, balcony, seaside view, mountain view and a BBQ grill. Ahhhh, heaven!

The longer you’re willing to stay, the lower the nightly rate. It drops all of the way to $50.00 (USD) for a fourteen night stay. If you wish to remain a month, by all means, do so, for $945.00 a month! This really is really reasonable in a resort setting.

There are lots of properties to select from. I don’t want you to feel this is the only 1. I chose this 1 for location, price and amenities. Not necessarily in that order! No matter what lodgings you choose, I can all but guaranty you will appreciate Boracay. It offers friendly people, plenty to do and some from the most beautiful scenery in the world.

As the seasons cycle it is sometimes awkward to remember all the stunning areas in the United Kingdom that are really worth visiting on many occasions. There are so many destinations that are perfectly suited to the weekend or week traveller. After much discussion at the office we have decided that Lake District Cottages provide the greatest range of outdoor activities for the reasonably active family.

Why would I think that The Lake District is one of the places to visit after our deliberations? It’s easy really: with the superb scenery, most of which can be walked or climbed it provides such a huge range of opportunities.

Here is an example of what I mean… Stay in some pet friendly Lake District Cottages near Windermere and the whole of the Lake District opens up in front of you. It doesn’t take much more than an hour to get from the eastern, busier side, of the lake district to the quieter western edge. The M6 motorway makes access to the northern Lakes almost impossible to ignore and it is possible therefore to enjoy the whole Lake District in one day; a long one though!!

What happens if you aren’t the fittest climber? The Lake District is so easy to access utilising cars, buses and of course boats that there really isn’t any excuse not to enjoy this beautiful area.

The Lake District National Park was the second national park to be enacted in the UK. The national parks of the UK are all included in legislation that defends them from the unscrupulous developer or over enthusiastic business idea. The outcome of this strict regime is that the whole ethos of the National Park is maintained for future generations.

The lakes of the Lake District wouldn’t of course be popular if it wasn’t for the pleasure craft and the self driven craft that can be used on the lakes. Windermere, which is now a lot quieter due to the introduction of a speed limit, is a perfect place to take a first introduction to all waterborn sports. It is still possible to learn to water ski, as a child. Also it’s possible to learn to sail or kayak with the numerous sailing and canooing schools around the Lake. Many of these schools accommodate their sailors in nearby Lake District Cottages.

If a simple but exceptionally enjoyable holiday is what is needed to burn away those blues, then one needs to look no further than a holiday in Cumbria. The Lake District has so much on offer that it can’t be ignored and really should be at the top of anyone’s list of possible holiday destinations.

By no means do you need a car to discover Barcelona, no matter where you’ve opted for your accommodation in Barcelona . The public transport system in the city is so good that there is really no purpose for one. The metro system is one of the best in Europe with regular stops allowing you to alight close to the attractions of your choice. However, if you absolutely have to have your car in the city, there are a few parking options you should know of.

Safety should always be the first thing on your mind before leaving your car. A rolled down window or door slightly ajar could be all the encouragement a would-be thief needs. So, don’t get careless, make sure all your doors are closed and the windows are rolled right up to the top. If you have a safety device, such as a steering wheel lock, ensure it is in place. As a double deterrent, always try to park somewhere with CCTV.

For short-term parking, there are lots of places to choose from. Prices per hour start from around €2. The cheapest parking is on offer at B:SM car parks, which have the lowest hourly rates. There are three B:SM parks situated just outside the city. They allow you to park your car at a low price before getting on a bus to take you into the city centre.

For a longer term parking option, you should try to get your hands on the P-Month Card. It costs €41 and entitles you to park for 12 hours a day, Monday to Saturday in three different lots. These are the Placa del Forum, Sant Genis Vale d’Hebron and Rius i Taulet Fira.

For those who want to park their car for up to eight days there is another B:SM card. The P-8 day card will allow you to park for up to eight consecutive days in the Barcelona Nord Bus Station Car Park for only €75.

This car park is one of the best positioned in the city. As well as being on the main route for buses, it is right next to a metro station. This means that, even if you aren’t moving the car, you can check how it is within minutes from town. This takes away the inconvenience of having to find parking while you’re trying to enjoy a holiday.

One thing you have to remember, however, is that this card is only for continuous parking for 8 days. If you leave before the eight days is up, then the card is cancelled.

Camper vans are popular with people who come to Barcelona while journeying around Europe. Even these people can find somewhere to park for a few days. The Fourm car park provides all the space and security they need for just €17 per day.

Even in the unlikely circumstance that all other car parks are full, the airport is an option. It is the biggest car park in the city, with 12,000 spaces in total, so there should never be a shortage. Prices start from €18 per day for the first four days and €15 after that. A week’s stay will cost you around €115.

One last thing to remember before you decide to take the car is that it is going to cost you money. This price should be factored into your holiday costs before you leave. The last thing you want is to have to leave the city early because you can’t afford car parking.

While it is advisable that you come to Barcelona ‘car-less’, if you absolutely need personal transport, there are many car parks. You don’t have to worry about where you leave your car, there are lots all over the city. You’ll find that, on the whole, parking is reasonably priced and public transport is always close to hand. The only thing you have to make sure is that you take cost into account before you leave.
