When climbing the steps of these ruins, experience a sense of history, and if possible, make this your first top at Athens. The price of admission will allow you to sample other sites for free.

2 National Archeological Museum

You’ll find some of the most esteemed collections of ancient paintings, sculptures and statues on the planet. Laying your eyes on the 2,000 year old computer will give you an idea of just how far ahead the Greeks were in those times.

3 Agora-Athens Central Market

Love shopping? This this is one place that you must visit. Adore fresh produce? Better still. Show up early in the morning and you will find a better selection of meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables than you will find anywhere else. The prices are reasonable, and the smell and look of the produce should entice you to get a few bags of shopping.

4 Mount Lycabettus

Yes, it’s a lot of effort to climb to the top of a mountain, but the view is one guaranteed to take your breath away. On top of the stunning view you can take advantage of the amphitheatre and the ultra quaint café you will find at the top. Think the trip is over once you get to the top? The way down can prove to be just as much of a mission.

5 The Plaka

The Plaka is by far the oldest neighborhood in all of Athens and a walk through this area can be a great experience. From the cute tourist shops to the constant entertainment around you, you will be sure to have a great time. There are more than enough experiences to be had in this area to make several top five lists of its own.

The city of Bradford is located in West Yorkshire, an English county. Lying in the foothills of the mountain range known as the Pennines the city of Bradford was perfectly placed to boom during the industrial revolution. In truth, during the nineteenth century, the town of Bradford stood at the forefront of the Industrial revolution and it very quickly became an important international textile manufacturing centre, specialising in wool and the town of Bradford gained the nickname of the world’s wool capital. Because of the abundance of raw materials of iron ore, soft water and coal the town experienced quick expansion in its manufacturing base and a corresponding population growth. Sadly the city’s textile industry eventually declined in the mid 20th century. Ever since then the city has developed into   something of a popular vacation destination with a a surprising number of establishments providing bed and breakfast accommodation in Bradford.

Bradford’s industrial history has left us with a legacy of fine Victorian constructions, including; the Wool Exchange, old mills, Alhambra Theatre and City Hall. The most ancient building found in the city is the Cathedral, which can be dated back to medieval times, and was, for most of its life, a small parish church. Regrettably few buildings of this time survive, except for Bolling Hall. Bolling Hall is currently a museum, situated approximately 1 mile away from the centre of the city. Built in a quiet and leafy garden, the museum takes folk on a wondrous journey, to a time dating back around 5 hundred years, through the lives of those who once called Bolling Hall their home.

Bradford is the home of the National Media Museum, which is one of the most popular museums to be found outside London. At one time named the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, the fascinating National Media Museum is free to enter which is ideal for folk of all ages. The National Media Museum contains 3 cinemas, one being the best in England. One can explore the past, present and future of television in Experience TV, enjoy your favourite television moments in TV Heaven, experiment with lenses, colour and light in the Magic Factory and investigate the interesting world of animation and watch an actual animator working in the Animation Gallery. Every weekend and during holidays the museum has an exciting packed schedule of talks, free tours and activities.

Bournemouth is a vibrant, lively and marvelously exciting city, despite of the fact it is known as ‘God’s waiting Room’. The reason it is called this is that large numbers of folk settle here during retirement. However, the city has an incredible youth culture, with a high number of university and language students. Of course such a place would be a superb place to spend some time however, there is plenty  more to keep you entertained. In actual fact Bournemouth is surprisingly popular with folk of various ages, the most probable reason why there are so many hotels offering bed and breakfast in Bournemouth to choose from.

Bournemouth is found right on the coast in the South of England, just over one hundred miles from of the city of London. The largest town found on the south coast, Bournemouth, is well renowned for its 7m of glorious beaches of golden sand and glistening blue sea. It is Bournemouth’s stunning location that made it become a popular vacation destination since the start of the 19th century. It is nearly impossible to envisage that the city of Bournemouth was,  around 1800, largely a barren and remote heathland mainly consisting of common grazing except for Sir George Ivison Tapps’. The Tapps Arms, a public house, appeared on the moorland in the year 1809, a few of years after this, in the year 1812, the first people, a retired army officer and wife, moved in.

Lewis Tregonwell and his wife bought a little land, off Sir George Ivison Tapps, upon which they built a series of villas with a view to letting them for the summer months for vacations. Lewis Tregonwell also built themselves a summerhouse. and also started to plant an astronomical amount of pine trees, making a beautifully sheltered walk to the beach, , which was later called the Invalid’s walk.

Since those early days Bournemouth’s popularity, as a UK vacation destination, has continuously increased, and today, the city has become known as a tourist haven for entertainment, leisure, culture, recreation and fun. Popular places to visit include; the award winning Central Gardens, the graveyard of St. Peters Church, Bournemouth Pier and the Russel-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.

If you and your family are currently thinking about taking a trip to the city of  Bournemouth it is crucial that you book your  rooms at the earliest opportunity as, unfortunately Bournemouth hotel accommodation tend to be alarmingly busy and are frequently fully booked for weeks or even months in advance. If you are travelling in a large group you might find that Bournemouth apartments are a more affordable option to bed & breakfast accommodation in Bournemouth.
