Why should you go on holiday to Africa to indulge in a safari, when there is one right out the back door? It is a common misconception that you can see everything in a zoo that you can see while on a safari. Well the best way to decide on one of the two is to weigh up the pros and cons of the two.

We’ll start with the Zoo. Right off the bat, it is much, much cheaper. Even though you don’t actually see these animals in their habitats, you are still able to see them none the less. The chance to see these animals is rare, but a zoo offers this chance to everybody, in some cases you can actually interact with these animals (probably not the dangerous ones). If you compare the distances, you will find that there is probably a zoo much closer to you. Anyone usually has a zoo within about 100-150 miles of them, not 6000 miles in a plane. Even thought the zoo is a great place for kids, it is also good fun for couples or a visit on your own.

So now let’s take a look at the Safari. It is very difficult to describe just how truly stunning these holiday really are, they top almost any other holiday. This is a holiday that you only really need to go on once, but after you have been, you will want to go back again. It is an unbelievable experience seeing some of these majestic creatures in their original environment. Staying in a resort knowing that there is a lion or a rhino just outside the door is a magnificent feeling. If you do consider splashing out the money for this you wont be disappointed, but you will have to leave the kids at home. You will hear astonishing stories that your guide will tell you about and some of them are considered luxury holidays.

Think carefully when you go to the zoo the next time, the more you see these animals in captivity the more you will want to see them in the wild, you never know you might end up wanting a Kenya safari!

Recently I had been feeling like I need to get out of this country and go and explore a new avenue in my life. I had been stuck in the same job for the past 20 years and needed a bit of excitement. The time of year came around when I had to use the rest of my holiday entitlement. Initially I decided to visit Turkey and soak up some sun. But I changed my mind when I came across a couple of blogs about Safari holidays.

Instantly I found myself entranced by what I was reading, mainly about all the animals and people that these writers had met. From then on all I could think about was Safari. After I booked my vacation I just could not wait to get on my way.

I arrived in Arusha airport and was on my way to the Serengeti. I was told to stay close to the group, otherwise I could of been at risk of being attacked by animals. I saw so many different animals on my travels, including the Lion and Elephant. I have taught myself so much and seen some amazing things in life.

The best part about it was that I had arrived just in time to see the Circular Migration, where over 2 million herbivores travel over thirty thousand miles following the rains of Africa to find food. It was a mind blowing sight. I went round as much of the resort as I could just so that I could take some great images to take home to friends. My Guide also recommended some South africa Holidays for some great safaris to.

After I got back I told everybody about where I had been and what I had done, everyone was so excited to hear about it. They all loved what I had told them and now we will all be going on Kenya Holidays to the Masai Mara for an office holiday in 6 months.

Exciting and adventurous holidays are what its all about in Africa, so if thats what you want then head on down asap. With everything that Africa has to give people won’t be let down when they go on a holiday there. Here are some of the most amazing places in Africa for you to think about.

Let us kick off with Zanzibar holidays. This is the furthest east of the holidays we are going to look at. This Island has also gone by the name Spice Island. Although this island does still produce a large amount of the spices for around the world, many years ago it produced 80 percent of it. This Islands history helps explain how some of the slave trade happened, and there are places to go Scuba diving as well.

Next up is the wonderful Tanzania holidays on Safari. This holiday is actually in the biggest national park in Africa, called the Serengeti. if you are a heavy adventurer you can go and find some of the biggest creatures on the planet and get as close as you ever could in the wild, This will be both fascinating and amazing.

Last but not least is the Fantastic holiday in Marrakech. This place is not the most glamorous in the world, and is infested with pollution, but it will completely enchant anyone that visits it. This is the place to make your adventure film imagination come to life. Without a doubt the most exuberant market in the world is in the Djeema el Fna square in Marrakesh. Up in the north west of Africa, Marrakech the market place has story tellers, water sellers, acrobats, dancers and musicians, to keep you always entertained.

So why not try one of the fabulous but very different holidays to have an absolutely amazing time, another great safari zone to note as well is the Masai Mara, so if the Serengeti isn’t for you then try Kenya holidays instead.
