Although this holiday will be fun and entertaining, make sure that you don’t leave anything to chance and prepare for this holiday very carefully.
Obviously, running into an African lion in his own backyard is dangerous but I’m talking about taking the proper preparation measures and knowing what to wear, where to go and having the necessary documents with you all the time! What You Need to Take on African Safari It’s amazing how often the simple things are overlooked? For example safari wear is vital. If your thinking about taking a load of personal items you will find lugging them around to be very difficult.
So what is the most sensible thing to take to wear on your Safari holiday? It’s light clothing in summer and light and heavy during winter. Days can be hot in many parts of Africa however; the nights can be extremely cool. Just watch out for those pesky mosquito’s, they like to get very personal and will pay you a regular visit, and sunscreen along with a few hats is a very good idea!
There are so many famous safari locations, the big five safari’s are known across the world. This is the holiday that will give you some unique experiences, and a lot of people in the future won’t be able to see the same things that you have. Some of the more popular lion safari destinations include the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya, particularly during the months of the wilder beast migration, you should consider Kenya holidays in the months of July through August. South Africa safari runs through the vast Kruger National Park, Botswana’s magnificent Central Kalahari, Chobe and Linyati parks and Tanzania’s famous reserves, from the Serengeti to Lake Victoria. Tanzania holidays offer some of the best safari holidays around.
There are so many different jungle creatures in the jungle, it’s not just the lion you need to think about. What is the one things that is different from Africa to anywhere else, it has one of the most endearing landscapes in the world. Taking a camera will prove to be the best thing you could possibly do on this holiday. Make sure that you carry you ID with you every where, it wont be amusing if you end up t customs without a passport.

Recently I had been feeling like I need to get out of this country and go and explore a new avenue in my life. I had been stuck in the same job for the past 20 years and needed a bit of excitement. The time of year came around when I had to use the rest of my holiday entitlement. Initially I decided to visit Turkey and soak up some sun. But I changed my mind when I came across a couple of blogs about Safari holidays.
Instantly I found myself entranced by what I was reading, mainly about all the animals and people that these writers had met. From then on all I could think about was Safari. After I booked my vacation I just could not wait to get on my way.
I arrived in Arusha airport and was on my way to the Serengeti. I was told to stay close to the group, otherwise I could of been at risk of being attacked by animals. I saw so many different animals on my travels, including the Lion and Elephant. I have taught myself so much and seen some amazing things in life.
The best part about it was that I had arrived just in time to see the Circular Migration, where over 2 million herbivores travel over thirty thousand miles following the rains of Africa to find food. It was a mind blowing sight. I went round as much of the resort as I could just so that I could take some great images to take home to friends. My Guide also recommended some South africa Holidays for some great safaris to.
After I got back I told everybody about where I had been and what I had done, everyone was so excited to hear about it. They all loved what I had told them and now we will all be going on Kenya Holidays to the Masai Mara for an office holiday in 6 months.

For many people, Zambia is a little out of the radar scan for a holiday overseas. This is the destination of dreamland, if you want a different and unique holiday then this is for you. Now that kenya is halving the cost of it’s Visa’s to £25 for an adult, these holidays will be well worth a visit.
Zambia is undisputedly most famous for the Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and you won’t be surprised when you see it. This majestic waterfall is known to the local people as Mosi-Oa-Tunya, which means “Smoke That Thunders”. A truly stunning sight is when the water is flowing into the gorge below, and then flying back up out of the gorge like a volcano exploding. Zambia holidays have become more and more popular thanks to these waterfalls.
The sheer amazing sight of these falls is not the only reason to visit them. If you arrive in the September or December months, the water levels will be low enough for you to take a swim. When the waters reach a low level and are only just skimming the top of the cliff edge before they go into the gorge, a safe natural swimming pool appears. The Natural pool over looks the gorge that the waterfall plummets into and is called the Devils Armchair.
There is also a Victoria Falls National Park. A safari experience is on offer at this national park, all year round visitors are more than welcome to come and explore the area. The Park spans about 23 kilometres squared but does have many different kinds of wildlife. This National Park/Safari even has the option for you to walk it, with help from a guide. The fact is that instead of being stuck in a jeep, you can scour the vegetation and get stuck in with the wilderness. Kenya holidays and Tanzania holidays have become a lot more popular recently as well, this is due to the fantastic Safari’s that they offer.
So if you want to go and see some of the most amazing sights in the world, you should consider going to Africa and make your next holiday something different.
